Tour ~ AUSTRALIA
An Australia tour titled "BEER AND BARBIE RUN, DOWN UNDER" run is now active.
This is not a sight seeing tour, Your aim here is to deliver cargo in the way of Beer, snags, kangaroo meat, steaks and burgers to small communities in the outback. Your travel will take you into some major towns for resupply but most will be small airstrips. Many have no navigation aids with no ILS so your GPS will earn its money.
You are expected to travel the vast distances into the middle of Australia via airstrip hopping. Many legs in this challenge are short with a few longer to cover the expanse of this great country down under. The People in these communities are awaiting their supplies for the upcoming celebration of winning the Olympic Games with the most medals won.
The flights are available to the B1900C / D , the DC3 and the C130 where two have been placed at the starting point in Darwin (YPDN), located in the Northern Territory. Darwin was the first town attacked during the 2nd world war due to it's most northern location. The Territory also forms the name of our national airline QANTAS, (Queensland And Northern Territory Air Service), which are the two areas or states/territories that the airline first serviced. The route is a complete circle of the country returning to Darwin.
Do watch yourself if you plan to spend the night in one of the outback towns, Australia has many of the worlds most dangerous and poisonous wildlife. The redback spider is well known but watch out for the snakes and lizards that live in the wild open spaces. Oh and the crocs up in the Territory. If you get lost up there I am sure some of our native Aborigines will look after you.
ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE ???

As far as we know, all airports in this trek are default FSX destinations. Please check your scenery prior to booking a flight. Additional scenery is readily available as freeware if need be. ORBX Australia would be of benefit if you have it but should not be necessary.
